1. Adjust the paint to a suitable spray viscosity with clean thinner or water, and measure it with a coating-4 viscometer. The suitable viscosity is generally 18-30 seconds. If there is no viscometer for a while, visual inspection can be used: stir the paint with a rod (iron rod or wooden rod) and then lift it to a height of 20 cm and stop for observation. If the paint is continuously lined within a short time (a few seconds), it is too thick; it is too thin if the line breaks as soon as it is off the upper edge of the barrel; when it is stopped at a height of 20 cm, the paint becomes a straight line, and the flow is instantaneously cut off and becomes dripping. This viscosity is more suitable.
2. The air pressure is best controlled at 0.3-0.4 MPa (3-4 kgf/cm²). If the pressure is too low, the paint solution will be poorly atomized, and pits will be formed on the surface: too much pressure will cause sag, and the paint mist will be too large, which wastes materials and affects the health of the operator.
3. The distance between the nozzle and the object surface is generally 200-300 mm. It is easy to sag if it is too close; the paint mist is uneven if it is too far, and pitting is easy to occur, and the paint mist is scattered on the way from the nozzle to the surface of the object, causing waste. The specific size of the interval should be adjusted appropriately according to the type of glass bottle paint, the viscosity and the size of the air pressure. The spraying interval of slow-drying paint can be farther, when the viscosity is thin, it can be farther; when the air pressure is high, the interval can be farther, and the pressure is small, and it can be closer; the so-called nearer and farther refers to the adjustment in the range of 10mm-50mm. If it exceeds this range, it is difficult to obtain an ideal paint film.
4. The spray gun can be moved up and down and left and right. It is best to move uniformly at a speed of 10-12 m/min. The nozzle should be sprayed straight on the surface to minimize the oblique spray. When spraying to both ends of the surface, the hand that pulls the trigger of the spray gun should be loosened quickly to reduce the paint mist. Because the two ends of the surface often have to be sprayed more than twice, it is the most likely place to cause sagging.
5. When spraying, the next one should press 1/3 or 1/4 of the previous one, so that there will be no leakage. When spraying quick-drying paint, it needs to be sprayed in sequence at a time. The supplementary spray effect is not ideal.
